We had a great Easter weekend at the cabin...it was cold (even snowed all day Saturday!) but we still got in an egg hunt and got to be outside a lot. Owen had a great time hanging out with the boys...working, playing and hiking all over the place. His face was absolutely priceless when he woke up Friday morning and Aunt Joelle was there. We didn't tell him that she and Marc and daddy were on their way Thursday night because he never would have gone to bed. I haven't ever seen him sprint into someone's arms like that! Baby Aves (as I realize I call her most of the time, cause Owen has started calling her Aves too) starting sleeping really well and following a predictable routine while at the cabin, which is wonderful. She was majorly spoiled and only put down when we were eating or sleeping, but has recovered nicely since coming home! It's been so fun since she is awake more...and she is turning into quite the little smiley thing! I love watching her...sleeping or awake. Owen is being such a big helper...retrieving her paci from all the places she drops it and getting me diapers and wipes and whatever else I need. He loved holding her and when she cries, has to immediatelty run over to see "what's wrong with baby Aves". I can hardly believe she'll be 6 weeks old on Thursday! Time continues to go way too fast!
We are all hoping for continued good weather...we broke in the double stroller today...felt great to be out, but boy is that thing ever a beast!

I'm glad you had a nice Easter at the cabin. Love the pictures! The one of Avalyn in the laundry basket was so cute! It reminded me of how I had no crib for Zhu Zhu so I made him a little bed in my laundry basket! Don't worry... he was 2 weeks old and couldn't move so it worked like a charm. :) The Picture People ones came out great! Her little cheeks are getting chubby! SO CUTE!
