A late, but extremely thrilled welcome to my precious new niece, Brielle Ashlyn, born July 15 @ 4:44 pm! She weighed 7 lbs 6 oz and was 19 inches long! We're so excited to have another girl in what was once a overwhelming boy-filled family! (not that there's anything wrong with that!) We love you, baby Bri!

Deal of the week: I love those rubber rain boots and have been looking for a good price for some for Owen for a long time. Last night I found camo ones for him and pink ones for Aves...originally $16.98...for $2.99! I am now kicking myself for not buying them each another pair in a different size! Owen's were going to be for his b-day, but I gave them to him this afternoon and he is obsessed already. He lined them up beside his bed when he took a nap and when he came downstairs afterwards, he was wearing them. He HAD to go get the mail so he could walk up the street in his boots and when asked if his feet were sweaty, he said, "Yes, but I like it." I can't wait to smell his feet later tonight!

Quotables:
Today Owen opened the door and said, "I'm going to work." I asked him what he would be doing and he said, "I'm going to work with wood." I guess the plumbing phase is over and the construction phase has begun...
I take the quote "You learn something new every day" pretty seriously, so lately I have been trying to teach Owen one new thing every day...anything from what a stop sign is, says and means to who our current President is. He learned about good old G.W.B. on Monday and ever since I have been asking him daily who our president is. So today when I asked him, he thought and thought and said, "The monkey W. Bush" It took me a minute to figure out he got George mixed up with Curious George the monkey, but I was impressed with the connections anyway. He quickly corrected himself and said, "I mean George, George W Bush." I had a good laugh anyway...and the even greater thing was that when I told my mother the story she immediately (and totally seriously) said, "You need to call the White House and tell them that. I'm sure they would do SOMETHING with that story!" Sure mom, I'm sure it would be top priority!

lol...owen is too cute!
Those boots are so cute, and I love Owen's adorable conversations. The things they say at this age are hilarious!
