A Foot-washing...

...today I was unloading boxes of applesauce from my car to put in the freezer and noticed Owen was absent from the action...which is rare. I heard him in the bathroom and thought to myself, "What a good boy! He is washing his hands after going to the bathroom." I walked in to tell him how great he was and found him sitting on the sink, washing his feet...using A LOT of soap. I asked him what in the world he was up to and he said, "When my feet get dirty, Nena washes them in the sink." (Like bathing is a new concept or something) I don't even want to know how he got himself up there, but if I had my guess, it's a good thing he was washing his feet.
Little Miss Avalyn is getting so big and so loud! She is making lots of new babbles and is so content and happy, pretty much all of the time...her nursery workers can back me up here! She is just loving life and Owen is really loving that he can play more with her now that she is getting bigger. She'll be 7 months on Sunday, so I'll post her 7 month picture then! I should post a picture of her thigh...it's HUGE! And I figure this is the only time that an enormous thigh picture would be cute!

HA HA that is classic...the thought of MY Aunt Carol washing Owens little tootsies in the sink..that brings back childhood memories..did she give him a little puff puff at the end in honor of Grandma Brandt? Hannah is Very familiar with the puff puff

I just love the look on Owen's face! He must be a climber like his daddy - Ryan was always climbing. Luv you, Owen!

Owen is such an entertaining kid! You do a great job retelling the funny things he says and does. With all that foot washing, maybe he's showing his multicultural understanding of the Muslim community. He's destined for the UN or something.

Funny...we have foot baths at our house, too, although usually in the tub!!
I recently caught Lily in a similar moment at the bathroom sink. But she was washing dead flower buds that she had gathered off the ground. She was using tons of my bath and body works antibacterial soap and using tissues to dry them!! She calming told me that she was cleaning them so that they would last longer!!
